綱掛け神事
Sacred Rope
 

棚田で有名な集落である稲渕、奥明日香の栢森では新年に飛鳥川に掛けた勧請縄を取り替える行事が行われます。
綱掛は稲渕集落の雄綱、栢森集落の雌綱の2本。

稲渕集落：平成30年1月8日(月・祝）13時頃
栢森集落：平成30年1月11日(木）15時頃

災いが村に入り込まぬよう掛けられた縄は一年でその役目を終え、新しいものに架け替えられます。
新しい縄はその前年に実った稲の藁を使用し、縄を編む作業から始め
編まれた綱の中央には雄綱が男性のシンボル、雌綱が女性のシンボルをかたどったものを下げます。
こうして出来た綱は、集落の外れまで住人の手で大切に運ばれ
また新しい一年を災いから守るようにと願いとともに、川の上に掛けられます。
古来受け継がれてきた行事です。


In Inabuchi, a village famous for rice terraces, an event is held to replace sacred rope "O-zuna", which is hung on Asuka-gawa River in New Year.
The rope that the misfortune is not entering into the village will finish its role in a year and replace it with new ones. The new rope starts with the work of knitting a rope in the morning, using the straw of rice harvested in the year.
In the middle of a knitted rope, a new rope is hung by lowering the man's shape, and to protect the new year from the disaster. It is an event that has been passed down since then.
